I'm Driving Again! YEAH!!!

Last time, I had an accident where the car that I drove hit another car... Therefore, I was traumatized!

Recently, I need to fetch my cousin sister and my auntie to hospital to visit my uncle. There are no other driver at home beside than me, so I need to drive! At first, I was really worried. Then, every time before I drive, I prayed to God. Praise God for the peace and confidence to drive again! And I had a great time of driving around Taiping! =)

I'm Back... From Bitterness To Sweetness

Drinking 'teh tarik' as I watching the time past and looking forward to a new year; as the minutes turned into hour, a year is gone and a new one is here. Enjoying my 'teh tarik' and looking at fireworks far far away... I never imagined that this was the way I welcomed the New Year 2009.

My 2008 was an unstable year and I didn't set any resolution for 2009 because I was affected by year 2008! But I still thank God for everything; as I reflected on 2008, there were lots of blessing from God. And I don't want to plan any specific resolution for 2009; I just want this year to be the year of family bonding and I want to trust God for a better year of 2009.

Here i go with my...
Bitterness number 1
Early this year -January- my friend broke up with my brother. They supposed to get marry soon but they relationship just didn't work out and finally they broke up! I was affected; very much as if like my own break up -painful, angry, sad and disappointed-

Sweetness number 1

But God is good; every bad circumstances that created by man, God use it for good! Through this incident, my relationship with my brother are closer! Then, I learned about the difference between advising and encouraging -be there to listen as an encouragement to someone and do not be there to advise by telling people what to do- And finally through this incident, I learned that God will never create suffering!

Bitterness number 2

This year started with bitterness... =( This year Chinese New Year was very different to me; more quiet and I didn't feel any excitement of it... Sigh...

Sweetness number 2
Anyway, I had great time of reunion with my cousins, relatives and friends even though it was quiet! Guess what, I spent some quality time with my dad. I had great fellowship with him! It was so cool... He taught me a lesson about family bonding and he told me he is learning from his mistakes. I practiced forgiveness and loving heart towards my dad by loving him more and allow him to make mistakes and give chances for him to learn from his mistakes. And I learned all these from Jesus! Praise the Lord!

Sweetness number 3
Today, my uncle was blessed by God that his operation to remove one part of his colon was successful -anyway my uncle diagnosed with colon cancer- I was really worried at first but then God really filled my heart with His everlasting peace. I don't why I always felt positive about my uncle's condition. I think this is what I called FAITH!

Just now, as I was browsing through the photos of the greeting cards that I made last year and it really inspired me to do it again this year and I got the theme for this year collection, I will call it: Sweets and Cakes! Why? Haha... The reason is simply because everyone love dessert and dessert is sweet. So I pray that my greeting cards will bless people by bringing sweetness to them! ;-P Yummy! Hehe...

Actually, to be bitter or to be sweet; it is up to us to make the choices... Remember that God never create suffering and bitterness! So, why bitter when we can choose to be happy! And Jesus is our everlasting and unfailing HOPE; there is always hope when there is Jesus in us!

Wishing you all a Blessed Sweet Sweet Year Ahead! God bless! =)

Slipping Through My Fingers

Wow, I have been actively blogging since last year. This will be my last post of the year and I am going to take a break from blogging. I don't know when I will continue back but once I got new and fresh idea and inspiration, then I will be back.

Day by Day and month after month, time just past by like the wind blowing and slipping through my fingers -I can feel it but I can't hold it back- and 2008 is going to finish soon. Time flies! I was experiencing God during 2007 and this year, I am still experiencing God but in different ways compare to 2007. And I am looking forward to experience God in a greater manner next year!

Next year, I will going back to Ipoh until July for my final clinical attachment -will be finishing my course on July- I am going to miss everything here at PJ especially the people that I met and my weekday and weekend will not be the same anymore when I am going to back to Ipoh.

Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell.... CLOWNING All The Way...

Last year, I had a great time serving as a clown. I did posted some pictures of me as a clown last year on 2007 posts.

This year, I am doing it again! =) And I am enjoying every single moment of it. Last Sunday, the promotion team of this year Children's Church Christmas Party did a promotion at Sunway Pyramid and I was there too as a clown together with two children; Olivia and Jane as the children clown.

Then, next Sunday -21st of December- 7 of us (Theodore, Steven, Sam, Timothy, David, Daryll and myself) will be clowns and we will be doing a skit, dance and game for the Children's Church Christmas Party 2008.

Here I have some pictures that Cornelia took on last Tuesday during the Clown make-up practice at church:-

Can't Wait To Step Into The World Of Photography

Next week, I am going to get this DSLR camera -Sony Alpha 200- I am so excited about it!

I didn't know that I am so into photography. Actually, since young, I guess I already started to like this hobby of photography. I still remembered that I asked my dad for some money to buy camera -those day, the camera was non digital type, all required film- but my dad didn't gave me 'coz it was too expensive.

Then, one morning, he surprised me with a camera that he bought in Singapore. I still remembered that the brand of that camera was Olympus. I was really happy and started taking photos around my house. But in the end, the camera spoiled when I borrowed it to my friend and he didn't return the spoiled camera to me! As I think back, I felt really bad about it.

I thank God for this passion that I have in photography and I want to use this passion to serve the Him!

p/s: As I type this post, this thought came into my mind -I want to use my new camera to take one photo with my dad and ask him whether he still remembered that he bought me a camera before-

Footprints

Last Saturday was my commissioning as a Children's Leader. Then, I received this card and bookmark from Pr. Nancy -Children's Church Pastor-

The message on the bookmark really caught my attention. I was so encouraged by the message. The title of the message on the bookmark is -Footprints- by 2008 Earthscope Enterprises. Here's the message that I want to share with you all:-

One night a man had a dream. he dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonged to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happens at the lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times of my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied, "My previous child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your time of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

I was so encouraged by the message. After I read the message, I imagined on how the LORD carry me by giving me a piggyback ride.

=') I am so happy to have a Father who always carry me through my trial and suffering. Brother and sister, don't be discouraged by your trial and suffering, our Father in heaven is always keeping His promises and one of the promises is "I will never leave you nor forsake you!"

I like phrase that wrote by Sister Elaine, my friend from Ipoh, saying...
"God did not promise us a smooth journey in our life BUT He promised to walk with us every steps of our life!"

As long as HAND IN HAND & SIDE BY SIDE with the LORD, you will experience the love, peace and joy! AMEN! I^-^I

Forgiveness

Recently, my cousin bought this video game known as Burnout Revenge and the motto of this video game is 'Forgiveness Is For Losers'.

Isn't it scary where actually people think that forgiveness is for losers? You may think that it is just a phrase that people use to promote their video game or to make their video game sound cool... But what I concern the most is that the children may use this phrase as their motto for their life. Aren't you worry if your children don't practice forgiveness and think that forgiveness is just for losers? And right now, my cousin brother is playing with the video game and some more, he thinks the phrase is so cool. Aiyoyo... so how?

But I believe that the gospel will set them free and will protect them from this false teaching. Jesus always forgive and He is not a loser; to many of us, He is our Superhero because of His great love, mercy and grace, we are forgiven through His sacrificial on the cross. He died for our sins on the cross so that we are forgiven from our sins! Jesus is so cool... Today, He is risen and His Name is above all names, above all nations, above all kingdoms and above everything in this world.

Sometimes, -I know- it is not easy for us to forgive someone, but all things are possible with God; with Him in us, we can do anything! We can always learn how to forgive just like Jesus. In my opinion, forgiveness can't take place where there is no LOVE. Start to love, then follow by forgiveness.

There are one person that I find it very hard to forgive; is my dad. Because of his ignorance to the family, I am really upset and angry at him. To forgive my dad, I think I need to love him more and more each day which I know is not easy. Experiencing God's love and forgiveness really helps me to love my dad more and learn to forgive him. It is not easy at times, but God is my help and strength.

If people think that forgiveness is for losers, I hope that they will think again. Forgiveness is not something to determine whether it is for the losers or winners. Forgiveness is a beautiful act where God use it to demonstrate His great love for us by sending His one and only Son, Jesus to died for us on the cross so that we are forgiven from our sins and we are set free from slaving to our sins! This is so cool and awesome!

All praises, glories and honors to the Lord! I^-^I
