One Life Revolution Exhibition

Last Wednesday, my course mates and I went to this One Life Revolution Exhibition at Dream Centre. Wow, it was so awesome! Walking through the real life of the suffering children who have HIV is an experience that I'll never forget!

Three true story about three children from Malaysia, India and Cambodia who went through a hard and tough time in their life. This exhibition will give you an opportunity to walk through their life and experience what they went through as a HIV positive carrier. Only one of these three children are HIV negative but the whole family is HIV positive!

"Exposure to their suffering and know that in midst of their suffering, they still need work for the family. They are not suppose to live like that but they have to..." - Shakilah

(from the left; Elijah, Reza and Watie)

"When I think of HIV and people with it, I always remember Magic Johnson quote 'My sickness is not the ending of everything but is the beginning for me to do good things in life', from there I believe, we shall not judge people with HIV but help them to do good things too in life." - Reza

"The One Life Revolution Campaign was a wonderful experience. It will open up many people's perception on how they discriminate this unfortunate people. This HIV infected people need to be loved and given support always. It is something which this people will cherish and value our support. I always have a soft spot for this unfortunate people but it has grew even more now. It was a wonderful experience and should create awareness for people who are suffering with other diseases." - Jothi

"ONE Life Revolution - its one of the many exhibitions that I went with much hope and anticipation but my hope has not became any less. I went there lunch hour and manage to see the kid from India who suffered from HIV+. The interior of the path was made to look like in in India, so that u get the feel of being there. I was moved emotionally with the situation and the narration. I have been to India in 2002. I have seen the slump area, i went there to give away food to the poor and needy. I felt what I felt there. The dust, dirt, the honking, the haggard looking people. In the evening, I went again . This time the story of the Cambodian kid. My feet have not touched Cambodia as I only have to Laos. This story again tickled the part that all human should feel. Care for other. Feel what others feels. After the exhibition I pledge to sponsor 1 kid for a year with the World Vision. I manage to speak to Ayn Pereira - Project Manager , One Life Revolution. The tag line in the exhibition was 'You have one life, do something.'. I have dedicated my 17 years of my life to MSR - the Malaysian Society of Radiographers. I merely fulfilled my existence. I am very much interested in World Peace cos we have only One World. Lets appreciate it. I have to Thanks my fellow friend Mr Tim Roy for showing me the invitation on ONE Life Revolution" - MSR Secretary, Packya Narayanan Dassan, MALAYSIAN SOCIETY OF RADIOGRAPHER

(This is the bracelet for us to wear; as a support to the HIV people)

We only got ONE LIFE... Do something ya! I got one life and I'll live it to bring JESUS' LOVE and HOPE to the people around me especially people who are living in this broken world! How about you?

Patience

I really like this phrase that I learned from a TV drama:-
"Patience is bitter but the fruits is sweet!"

Yesterday, at Children Church, we were teaching about PATIENCE! Before I teach the children about patience, I also went through the process of being patience. I woke up and pack my stuff for the day. Then I went inside the bathroom to brush my teeth and take bath. Sadly, there was no water! Then I remembered that I read the notice the night before that the hostel management will off the main tap for two hours for renovation. OH NO!!!! "Why on the time that I want to wash up..."

Thank God, there was still a little water running from the tap. I patiently wait for the water to fill the pail. I finished bathing around 20 to 25 minutes - Washed my hair plus everything! Inside the bathroom, I thank God for giving me an opportunity to learn about "Patience!" Amen!

Ministered by children =)

Today is the Relationship Day at DUMC Children Church. I was really happy spending time with my children in my Cell group - Playing with them, talking with them and pray with them.

I was ministered by them today. Last few days, I was kinda down and felt a little not so comfort in my heart and also didn't sense the peace in my heart. But today, seeing them so happy, enjoying eating the bread together and all their smiles and laughters on their faces really gave me the peace.

And I believed that today, God used the children to ministered into my life by giving me peace and comfort! =)

After Children Church, I was so calm and peaceful down deep inside my heart... Right now, I am so calm typing this post and very relax... =)
This Orchid is one of my children gave it to me... My heart was melted! =) Thank God for the healing through the wonderful children! All praise and glory to the Lord!

Last Day Of The Class!

Last night was the last class for the course; 'New Testament Survey' at Bible College Malaysia (BCM). Time flies... 3 months just passed me by so fast! I started this class on January and I wrote a article about my first class too and posted on the blog itself (refer to my January 2008 blog archive).

I'll still continue with a new course next month. But not with my friends anymore :-( I'll continue the class alone. Last night, we all took a picture together with our lecturer, Rev. Ng Kok Kee...
(from the left; me, Wen-I, Ivy, Rev. Ng Kok Kee, Calvin, Melissa, Jamie, Irena and Stanley)

During the 3 months, I learned and gained a lot of knowledge about the Words of God especially from the New Testament. Plus, I also enjoyed the fellowship that we had during our supper time. All praises and glories to the Lord for the great and blessed time studying His words and also for all nice and wonderful fellowship that we had together! (^o,^) Miss ya!

Agape (pronounced "ah-GaH-pay")

Yesterday, I was doing my revision and reading bible on my bed. I was lying down looking up to the sky. Then, I put my right hand up and pretend to reach the sky and touch the sky. I tried to take picture of my hand reaching out to sky like reaching out to God for hope. But I failed to take the picture because the exposure was not nice. Suddenly, the word "AGAPE" came to my mind and the word came out through my mouth unconsciously. Then, I asked my roommate what is the meaning of Agape? I also asked Melissa and Pastor Nancy the same question. They gave me the same answer - God's Love! I believed that the Lord is reminded me about His unconditional love for me and for the world. Amen! =)
Agape - found in the biblical New Testament, Agape expresses the spiritual, not physical, love of God for his people. It is an unconditional love and concern for others. Agape is a love that accepts everyone for who they are. This is the same love that God expressed through the death of Jesus Christ, His son (1 John 4:9-10). It is a selfless love! (the definition is taken from the Agape Center website)

I'll Never Leave You!

In my previous post, I shared about the movie; Martian Child. It was really touching but I didn't cry; big boy already! hehe... After watching this movie, I found out some parts of this movie that related to my life about the relationship between father and son.

"In the movie, Dennis' parent abandoned him, therefore, he's lack of parental love. Eventually, Dennis ended up being a strange boy and he like to steal things".

I grew up from my childhood to my teenage life without my father because he seldom at home especially during my growing up period; my primary school time! Sad but true, I'm lack of fatherly figure. In addition, I'm not very close to my father. As a teenager, I didn't know about the need of having a father because I was so use to live without him, as a result, my life was not balance. After I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour, He restored back my relationship with God as heavenly father and son. But then because I was so used to not having my 'Earthly' father with me, so, God's fatherly figure still very much missing even though I knew that God is my heavenly father. But during my Baptism and Membership Encounter Weekend (BMEW) last year, Pastor Chris was teaching and sharing about God the father and His wonderful love. After the lesson, we were knelt down and prayed. Then I saw this vision that I was sitting on the swing at a garden or playground. Then I saw God was pushing me and I was swing up and down.
I had so much joy and fun. From that moment onwards, I can really sensed the fatherly love that was missing for so long. Then, I was broke down in tears because I was so touch and happy!

"There is one part in the movie that I love the most when Dennis told David that his parent from the Mars is coming to get him back but David told him that He's not going anywhere. Cut the story short, Dennis is crying and asked David why his parent left him ='( Then David told Dennis that his parent are stupid to abandoned him and didn't see the potential in him. Then David said to Dennis that he'll never, never, never, never, never leave him. And then, Dennis run to David and hug him. It was really touching".

This reminded me that God promised me that He'll never leave me nor forsake me! There was one day, my spiritual life was so dry and I couldn't sense God. He seems like very far away from me. I was so doubtful and upset. Then, one of the church members prayed for me and he told that God said to me that He'll never leave me nor forsake me. Then, immediately I cried...

This promise is not just for me alone, it is for you too! From the Bible, God said that He "will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you - Deuteronomy 31:8", this is God's promise for everybody!

Are you lack of love today? Or do you feel discouraged, hopeless or feel like being abandoned? What are you waiting for? Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour now and He'll restore back your relationship with God as father and son or father and daughter! Just pray this simple prayer:-
"Lord Jesus, I want to accept you as my personal Saviour. I believe that you died for my sins on the cross and you're son of God. I confess all my sins to you and please forgive me. In Jesus' name I prayed, Amen!"

And now, you're the Children of God, another God's promise for you! It is so privilege to known as Children of God! (^o,^)
