Last Sunday, I joined my brother, Timmy and our friends -Bernard and Amelia- watching football match -Liverpool VS Man City-
I personally not a football fan. I seldom -very seldom- watching football.
But after last Sunday, I realised that watching football is so much fun!
I learned something too from the match.
Sometimes, to reach our goals, we might face certain failure or obstacles. It can be very challenging... But don't give up and one day you will be successful!
"Every failure is a step stone to success!"
Like Thomas Edison; failed many times when he was inventing the light bulb but thank God that he didn't give up or else we will have no light today!
Remember, God made us an overcomer and a successor!
Only a life lived for others is worthwhile — Albert Einstein

Breathe Again With New And Everlasting Life
Yesterday, I just lost a friend; Connor Wong Man Yee
(21st Aug 1968 - 14th Sept 2008)
Connor has returned back to the Lord last night at about 10.55pm. He was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer and then, the cancer cells spread to his lungs. He was having difficulty in breathing...
But right now he can breathe again -no more pain and suffering- in heaven! Connor, we miss you very much! One day, we will see you again in heaven!
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time uproot...
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance...
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. - Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2, 4 & 11"

White Flag
Have you ever heard the song; "White Flag" by Dido? I like that song. I think most of us know what is the meaning of "White Flag". Raising the white flag means that you're surrendering! So, when you are surrendering, you are telling people that you are losing or you are already lost! BUT in my opinion, not all the time that surrendering means that you are losing...
As a Christian, I learned to surrender to God. Surrender to God does not mean that you are losing to God but you are allowing God to be God and at the same time, you are learning to trust Him and have Faith in Him.
Last Tuesday, I learned it very well. My bus was on 5.30pm; to go back to Ipoh. At 3pm, I finished bathing and finished packing my stuff. Then, I went to the cafeteria below my hostel to take my lunch. The sky was really dark. Before 3pm, it rained for a while; then stopped already! After I finished my lunch, around 3.35pm, I bumped into my friend, so I sat with him and talk to him for a while. By 4pm, the rain came... Very, very heavy!
Then, I was worried; worry about getting wet and miss my bus. So I opened the window which is next to my bed, then I prayed and worship the Lord. I sang my own song as I worship the Lord - "Lord, you uphold every rain in my life and calm every raging sea in my life..." Then, my worried slowly and slowly turned into peace... Guess what, around 4.25pm, the rain stopped, completely! Wow, Praise God!
And I reached bus stop on time! (^o,-) Wow, God is good all the time! I was worried but I learned surrender to the Lord by praying and worship Him! When I retreat, God will take His place and He will take control of everything... Praise God!

Things Are Changing; Nothing Stay The Same Except...

Things are changing from time to time and nothing stay the same except for God - He is the same God today, yesterday and the days to come.
Like wise, we as a human are changing from time to time! As I look back into my past, wow, I realised that so many things are not the same anymore... My family, my relatives, my cousins, my friends even myself had changed. Some of us become more mature, growing older, getting better in life, facing difficulty in life, gain some wonderful experience, going through bitterness, etc.
Some changes are good for us, in my opinion, most of it are good for us because we need to change and learn from our mistakes so that we will learn to be a better person. But remember, don't change yourself just to please others! Some changes also help us to learn to let go our unwanted past and help us to look to the future.
Seeing some going into new chapter of life; this shows that everything is changing... Things are going very fast even my country is changing too. Some changes are positive and some are negative... What will happen to us if the changes of our life, our environment, our status, etc are affecting us? Are you able to control it?
No worries, GOD is always in control. Amen!

Two Of My Friends Are Leaving!
I have two friends who are leaving Malaysia soon. One of my high school friend, Fong Chu, is leaving to New Zealand early next month. She is going there to work. Thank God that I was able to catch up with her for dinner before she's leaving.
I am surely going to miss both of you very much! "All the best to both of you! And God bless ya!"

I Am Back!
Wow... Long time didn't update my blog already. I was very busy the whole month and a lot of things that I went through... Some was tiring, some was enjoying and some was very refreshing... =)
Do I look cool? Hehe... Actually, I think I look like those people who were living in the 60's... =P "Saturday Night Fever"... Hehe!
I am having holidays now until October. So far, two main highlights to share...
Firstly, I went for Mission Candidates' Preparation Programme - 2 and it was fantastic... I learned a lot and gained a lot of experiences too. It was a very refreshing weekend to me! Praise God!
Secondly, last week, DUMC Children's Church organised the very first Vacation Bible School - Game Day Central; Where Heroes Are Made! Praise God! I had a lot of fun and laughter with the children, leaders, helpers and parents even though it was very tiring.
More pictures of the children and leaders in actions during the VBS. These pictures are taken by Jonathan Khoo:-

Cheng Fong, Carolyn, Hong Hong, Wen-I, Edwin, helpers, and myself were looking after the 5 -6 years old group. Valiant is our group name! Here's our logo:-
Here's our group's cheers:-"Everybody listens to us, we are here to show our strength. We are strong in Jesus Name, And we will never be ashamed! Go.... Valiant!"
Seeing the children memorizing the Cheers, seeing their joyful face and having their hugs were the sweetest feeling that I received from God during the three days of VBS. My heart was melting by them.
Thank God for His wonderful blessing! Praise the Lord! =)
